I am having middle age crisis apparently. My life is like work, kid, entertainment. Last year at a certain period, i actually read a lot of papers, tutorial, etc, just to catch up the world. Many of my friends are at cool companies doing cool stuffs, while I feel me stucked. Unfortunately, i am now happy to stuck and kind of accepting myself being normal.

Nevertheless, when I see these posts like elementary school kids using LLM to write a game or something in 45 minutes. I am like really mind blowing. I feel like there is such a powerful tool and I should spend some spare time not playing game or watching social media, but really maybe do some side project.

I think there are two things that are recently catching my eyes, vibe coding and MCP. So I tried a bit about vibe-coding.

It is definitely not the first time to let LLM write code for me, but I heard of very good performance for gemini 2.5 pro and I have free access so why not try it right.

It is not particular surprising performance like mind blowing, i am pretty confident that gpt 4 might can do it (not even 4o). But it is pretty smooth and I almost don’t need to debug even, it gives good solution and it can even alternate your proposal.

I want my daughter to have something to write or recognize chinese characters. I want each character to have an image assocaite with it, and gemini chose to use emoji instead of an image, which is super smart actually.

I really want the google internal tool can soon support load the whole codebase and allow me to ask questions. I am sick of convoluted C++ codebase.
